Introducing Ringlet: A Business SMS Inbox Built for Teams

We built Ringlet because small business teams deserve better than juggling personal phones, missing customer messages, and paying per-seat fees that scale faster than revenue.

If you’ve ever lost a lead because a text went to someone’s personal phone, or missed a voicemail because no one knew which number it came from — Ringlet is for you.

The problem with business phone tools today

Most virtual phone solutions fall into two camps:

  1. Consumer apps that give you a second number but zero team features — no shared inbox, no visibility, no API.
  2. Enterprise platforms that charge $19–35 per user per month, lock API access behind expensive tiers, and require you to call someone just to cancel.

If you’re a real estate team of five sharing a listing number, a home services company coordinating with subcontractors, or a small agency managing client communications — neither option fits. You end up paying enterprise prices for features you don’t need, or duct-taping consumer tools that weren’t designed for collaboration.

What Ringlet does differently

Ringlet gives your team shared phone numbers with a unified SMS and voicemail inbox. Every team member sees every message. No conversations fall through the cracks.

One price for the whole team

Most competitors charge per seat. A five-person team on OpenPhone costs $95/month. On Ringlet, that same team pays $25/month on the Team plan — regardless of whether you have 2 members or 10.

Here’s how our plans break down:

  • Personal — $10/month with $3 in included usage. Perfect for freelancers who need a separate business number.
  • Team — $25/month with $8 in included usage, up to 10 members, API access, and A2P brand registration for compliant messaging.
  • Business — $48/month with $15 in included usage, up to 25 members, SSO, audit logging, and higher volume limits.

Every plan includes a phone number. Need more? Additional numbers are $2/month each.

Usage you can understand

We don’t hide costs behind opaque credit systems or surprise you with overages. Every plan includes a monthly usage allowance expressed in real dollar amounts, and our rate card is public:

  • Inbound SMS: $0.008 per message (less than a penny)
  • Outbound SMS: $0.017 per message
  • Voicemail: $0.015 per minute
  • Voicemail transcription: $0.03 per minute

On the Team plan, your $8 in included usage covers roughly 470 outbound texts or over 500 minutes of voicemail — more than enough for most small businesses. When you need more, top up in increments of $10, $25, $50, or $100. Usage resets each billing cycle.

Voicemail transcription included

Every plan with a phone number includes automatic voicemail transcription. No add-on charges, no third-party integrations. Your team reads voicemails instead of listening to them, and every transcript is searchable in your inbox.

A developer API that doesn’t require an enterprise contract

On Team and Business plans, you get full REST API access with API key authentication. Send outbound SMS programmatically, query your message history, check usage balances — all documented with an OpenAPI spec. No sales calls, no “contact us for pricing.”

Built-in A2P compliance

If your team sends outbound SMS at any scale in the US, you need brand and campaign registration (10DLC). Ringlet has the registration workflow built in — not bolted on as an afterthought. Register your brand for a one-time $6 fee, register a campaign for $20/month, and you’re sending compliant messages with higher throughput limits.

Built on the edge

Ringlet runs on Cloudflare Workers across a global edge network. Your messages arrive fast, your voicemails transcribe in seconds, and the API responds from the nearest point of presence. We don’t run a fleet of servers — we run on the same infrastructure that powers a significant chunk of the internet.

Who Ringlet is for

We designed Ringlet for small businesses and teams that need professional phone capabilities without the overhead of a full phone system:

  • Real estate teams sharing listing numbers so no inquiry gets missed
  • Home service companies that need a professional number for customer calls and a way to route voicemails to the right person
  • Freelancers and contractors who want to keep their personal number private without carrying two phones
  • Developers who need an SMS API for notifications, verifications, or automation without the complexity of raw carrier APIs

Getting started

Ringlet is currently onboarding new teams. Plans start at $10/month for individuals and $25/month for teams, with no contracts and no cancellation phone calls.
